Paul Landry (1922-2004)

Paul Landry, the firm's founder, developed Landry & Bogan's method of ferreting out the true needs of the theatre's prospective users and translating them into an architectural program for the theatre building and its equipment. His many years of experience as a theatrical lighting designer, technical director and Associate Professor of Drama, coupled with 30+ years of consulting, resulted in over 100 constructed projects.
Mr. Landry led workshops for more than 50 studies which guided City planners, professional theatre operators, educational and community user groups to a project program. He developed detailed cost estimating methods to track and update theatrical equipment systems costs through the life of a project.
After more than 35 years of guiding theater spaces from imagination to opening night and mentoring new consultants, Mr. Landry retired from the firm in 2003 and passed away at the age of 82 on October 30, 2004.
